My fellow South Africans,

It is nice to be right here within the stunning Umzimvubu Municipality within the Alfred Nzo District of the Eastern Cape. Thank you for the nice and cozy welcome. Thank you to those that have come right here from different wards.

Even although the Eastern Cape remains to be strongly ANC, 39% of the individuals on this ward voted for the DA in 2021. Our ward candidate Lungelani Mrhamba did an unbelievable job of spreading the DA’s message that we get issues accomplished.

We have come right here on Freedom Day to thanks for making this courageous and good alternative. It is wise to know that residing in a deep rural space doesn’t imply it’s important to settle for a lifetime of poverty. It is wise to know you are able to do higher and it’s courageous to behave on that data.

We have come right here to guarantee you that the DA is dedicated to ending poverty and creating jobs. We are dedicated to actual freedom.

Today is Freedom Day, when South Africa celebrates the anniversary of our first non-racial election on 27 April 1994. On that extraordinary day, the dream of political freedom for all turned a actuality.

On that day, our nation was full of the hope and expectation of a greater life for all.
